Hyper-Links / URLs are NOT opening in the same browser window

By: Osmany (Manny) Barrinat

The reason:

Links open in a new window because web browsers and web page links are design to do just that. With previous versions of web browsers you were able to adjust that. Now it has become harder since the option has been removed.

The fix:

  1. Press and hold the CTRL or COMMAND key and then click the link/URL.

  2. If you hold down Shift it’ll open the link in a new tab and switch to the new tab.

  3. Click the link/URL with the mouse wheel button.

  4. Right-click the link and choose open in new tab.

Below are links to the most popular for the 4 most popular web browsers.
