GENERAL INFORMATION IT HELPDESK NEEDS TO KNOW

Shut Off Date and Time:

This is the time you plan to have your systems down before the hurricane arrives. We recommend at least 1 day prior, in order to have enough time to get everything ready.

WHAT THE USERS SHOULD DO AT SHUT OFF TIME?

- Save all their work and shut down the computers and turn off any other equipment.

- If you have access to the electric outlet in the wall, disconnect the UPS Battery units from the wall outlet and turn off the UPS Battery Unit by pressing and holding its power button until it turns off.

- If you do not have access to the electric outlet in the wall, because it’s behind a desk or something is obstructing it, simply unplug all equipment from the UPS Battery Unit and turn off the UPS Battery Unit by pressing and holding its power button until it turns off.

WHAT USERS SHOULD DO WHEN THEY RETURN TO THE OFFICE?

-If the UPS Battery Unit was disconnected from the wall, simply connect it back to the electric outlet, wait 30 seconds for it to power on properly and give the battery a quick charge. Then turn on all your equipment.

-If the UPS Battery Unit was not unplugged from the wall but instead the devices were disconnected from the UPS Battery Unit, then connect all equipment back to the unit. Make sure that the Monitor/s, Desktop or Laptop, Phone or any other equipment that needs to remain on in case of power loss to the outlets in the UPS Battery Unit that are labeled (Surge Protection + Battery).
